Welcome to SimBeavis&Butthead.... Those cartoons from MTV that make our sides split! This is the first release of SimBeavis&Butthead, 0.91ß. The idea came from the program SimBush, written by Mark Hayes. One day while watching Beavis and Butthead, I thought to myself, "Gee (actually, I don't think that I used 'Gee', but you get the point) wouldn't it be cool if there was a program that would randomly play B&B sounds? My roommate Keith said, "Yeah, cool...huh..huh..huh..." And the rest is history.
SimBeavis&Butthead is postcardware. It has a 24 bit picture, so if you want to see it in all it's glory, adjust your monitor first. I, like everyone else, like to get mail. So that's all I ask. If you dig it, I really would like you to send me a line or two on a postcard. If you just want to send a bug report--don't; assume It isn't made for your machine. This is something I did because I thought it would be cool on my machine to listen to....not to try cranking out version after version. I will tell you, though, that if you give SimB&B any less than 768K to operate in the "Get Info," it won't work properly.
Now for the disclaimer thing....
-The author of the code nor I make any promise that this will work bug-free on your machine. We are not responsible if your machine crashes while using this software.
-This software has been shipped free from all known viruses. If one has found it's way in, it is not my fault and I'm not held accountable.
-Beavis&Butthead and their likeness are property of MTV and Mike Judge. The sound and image resources in this program may not be sold for profit.
-This program is not intended for resale or modification. The code remains the property of Mark Hayes (ccmlh@it.bu.edu).
-Feel free to upload (uhhh...huh...huh..uhh.....I said "load". Huh...huh...huh....) this to local BBSes, provided this ReadMe stays intact.
-Most of all, you, the user, are intended to enjoy this fine piece of software. If you find that you no longer enjoy it, you are required by (my) law to destroy it.
Finally and most importantly, LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!!! If enough people like this program, a future version with more sounds, better picts, etc. might become avalible. This is just a first beta version. It can get lots better.
